A carefully restored, traditional village house
We completed the restoration of Casa Tagomago in 2007. A project we got a real buzz from!
Since we retired from our toy shops in 2009, we love travelling, as well as spending as much time as possible in Restábal. For the rest of the year, our garden, at home on the island of Ibiza, keeps us well occupied.
We designed Casa Tagomago as a holiday home, hassle free and comfortable. We believe you’ll enjoy it and the Lecrín Valley as much as we do.
One double with french doors opening on to the patio. Two twins with their own balconies, from which you can enjoy the views over the pool with the mountains beyond. Perhaps you’ll want to stay in bed!
Two living spaces, one on each floor. Both furnished with comfortable armchairs and traditional decor, making for a cozy and relaxing atmosphere. Downstairs we have a wood burning stove.

Restábal and the Lecrin Valley
Granada and the Alhambra
Granada is easily accessible from your Lecrín Valley holiday villa and makes an ideal day’s outing during your stay in Restábal. Situated on the north-western side of the Sierra Nevada mountain range, Granada is home to the famous Alhambra Palace and gardens. The old Moorish neighbourhood of the Albaicín, with its steep, winding, narrow streets and of Sacromonte, with its cave houses, perch on a hill opposite the…
Sierra Nevada to the Costa Tropical
Sierra Nevada (“snowy range” in Spanish), or “Sulayr” in Arab “Mountain of the Sun”, spreads between the provinces of Granada and Almería. The mountain range is marked in the north by the city of Granada and rolls down south to the Costa Tropical, Granada’s Mediterranean coast. The Mulhacen (3.479 m.) is the highest mountain in the Iberian Peninsula and, together with La Veleta (3.398 m.), dominates Sierra Nevada…

We stayed a week in this lovely home (Casa Tagomago) in the little village of Restabal near Granada. Susan provided a lot of information about the surrounding area and checked in regularly to make sure all was going well. When our flight to Spain was delayed, they graciously allowed us to shift our dates of stay (so lucky their bookings fitted in with this!). Our first day we hiked through the nearby valley enveloped in the scent of orange blossoms.

Quaint little village. Wonderful alternative to staying in the city or tourist beach areas. This was a pretty valley in a wonderful location between Granada and the beaches. Great experience living in a village with friendly locals and a very comfortable home.
